I posted a message last week I think saying about my iPod Nano 3G and the hassle I was having on getting it fixed after it was damaged in transit, well I finally got a new one sent out :)

Now however, I want to get it set up in my car....I know the wired option of a direct cable from iPod to in car radio will be best option, but I'm guessing also the most expensive..can anyone recommend a piece of kit (maybe a FM transmitter) which is good and relatively cheap? I've seen a lot on a certain auction site

Chances are your head unit has an AUX in available, either directly into the back or through an adaptor cable. Buy the £5 cable and plug it straight into the headphone jack. Best sound quality for the cheapest price. FM transmitters are balls.

Why not get an LOD connector to plug into your iPod (I got one for about £7 from ebay), so send the line-out signal to your car radio via a mini-to-mini cable?

Anyone know how I could get an affordable Nano composite a/v lead? Apple seem to be the only ones selling them.

Do what I said above (get an LOD-to-[female]mini connector) then get a mini-to-composite cable if they're available. Though I don't know how much Apple's ones are so it may end up being more expensive.
