I bought a flash mp3 player along time ago and it had a ac adaptor charger the ones where you attach the usb cable together and it'll charge. Well here is what it contains-

INPUT: 100-240V AC 50-60HZ
OUTPUT: DC 5.0V 400mA + 5 %

Now what i was wondering was will it charge fine on my ipod classics 80gb?

The iPod isn't particularly fussy when it comes to it's power source.

I've been building a battery powered "boost" pack (essentially an emergency charger) and have found that the iPod Classic generally needs 5V DC. It has it's own 5V regulator inside, so the only issue you could run in to is a lack of current tbh.

Try it and see what happens :)
