iPod Classic 120GB volume limit

I'm thinking about buying one of these and don't know if i can hack it to get rid of the EU volume limit. Some other forums i looked at suggest it can't be done but some others say it can.

Is the 120GB Classic a 4 or 5G iPod? One online retailer advertises it as 4G but if It's the latest one surely it would be 5G or even 5.5G which I've seen mentioned in some places.

Does anyone here have one of these iPods with the limit removed? I downloaded a program called GoPod and i want to be sure it will work with the Classic before i buy one.

The more i search for answers the more confused i get I hope someone can help.

EDIT - I forgot to ask if It's possible to put a USA firmware on it as that wont have the limit

All EU Ipods are volume limited, the USA ones are not, there isnt a hack as far as I am aware.

It seems there is no hack, the program i downloaded works up to 5G(Video) iPods but not the new Classic. It's not possible to download and install a USA firmware either by the looks of it

I've just bought one online, the FiiO E5, it seems to get good reviews. If it's ok i'll buy an iPod.
