hey all, i am having a bit of trouble with my iPod.
I recently had it plugged in, charging, whilst on my Mac Pro. I then booted up Windows and iTunes opened by default. After declining to restore etc, I let it charge and then booted in Leopard again. I then unplugged the iPod.
Fast forward a few days and I plug it in again, whilst in Leopard, and I am greeted by a message that the iPod is corrupted. Luckily I was planning a cull of my music on both the Mac and the iPod, so I wasn't too heartbroken. I restored, and filled it up again. Please note, the iPod was no trouble at all after taking it out after it had been plugged in whilst Vista was running.
Again, I booted into Vista with iPod plugged in. This time I made sure iTunes did not open. Did what I needed, and went back into Leopard. All seemed fine, even in iTunes, and I took it out again, and listened away the next day.
Just now I have plugged it in in Leopard, only to be greeted by the same message as before. My iPod is corrupted. I have just restored it again.
Why it does this I do not know. I have just checked my warranty, and I have 6 months left. It was bought from competitor. Who do I go through to get it fixed (if it is a problem)
When I had my Video back a few years, I often used it in both Windows and Leopard and had no problems
