Ipod Classic Too quiet

Hi

i believe UK ipods have limited volume and tbh when walking to work / cycling travelling on planes etc i cant hear nothing on it.

should i buy a headphone amp (what should i pay for one? any recommendations etc) or my friend is going to USA in a few weeks should i get an American one? its still about 175 quid in america.

what would you do?

yeah ive done that but maybe im wrong it just seems that the volume is the same but now the volume doesnt change much on the *fixed* tracks from when i go through half volume.

yes volume is max also, its fine normally in the office etc but when theres background noise i can barely hear.

i guess i was looking at headphone amps but not knowing much about them and the internet not really saying much i was wondering if anybody has experience with them and if there worth it or if i need to spend a lot of money to buy one which is worth it

i was under the impression this didnt work on the newer classics?

im not using apple headphones got some semi expensive (£30)sony ones i use with the rubber ear pod things, but they are coming to the end of the lifespan so i might have a look into some other headsets.
