Ipod!....Damn you!! update!!...

since i got my new mobo when i plug in my ipod it tries to install new hardware and then fails and its frustrationg because at the mo im struggling to get my new songs on it. any ideas? ways of forcing new hardware installation?

You don't need to install the ipod. Just use itunes.

no but i want to update my ipod and when i connect it up i canny update it anymore....since ive changed mobo's

Have you tried using EphPod?
* Do not blame me if it all goes Pete Tong, but I use it all the time with no problems (Refuse to have iTunes on my PC)

Make sure you arent plugging it into one of the "front" usb ports.

Because they might not be wired up right and damage the ipod permanently, if you've wired them up right then it doesn't matter.

Ditto, or use the latest version of Winamp. It has an in built doodah for allowing you to nosey about in your ipod. It's not that functional though in my opinion as it could be....
