Basically i want an ipod for the gym, but havent got a clue what to choose.

Whats the best type of music should i get, to get me phsyched up. I really liked the gladiator music, off the film.

sounds good sinny:)

what ipod should i get.

For the gym.. nano or shuffle, upto you. Shuffle is cheaper but no screen, nano is more expensive but more features and screen.

You could also look at the creative zen's and stones.
And I'm sure there are other suitable no-apple products that would do you fine aswell.

Creative Zen Stone

personally i think Ipods are appauling (carppp)

i usualy go for Creative players.

but i would go for the Creative Zen stone.

What is your budget?
My wife bought me one of the new iPod Nano's to replace my iPod Mini for Christmas.
These things are small, thin but they look and sound excellent.
You're looking at around £99 for the 4GB or £129 for the 8GB version.

I got my Zen stone for xmas its brilliant (previously had Zen touch).

It simple, cheap, well made easy to use (just drag and drop files into a folder! i.e.e don't have to use itunes...), light and you can buy armbands for them for gym use :)
Mine was under £20 for a 1 gb and unless you spend hours upon hour down the gym you won't need more than that.

You pay for the brand name with the ipod get a creative.

My dad bought me an Ipod Touch 16gb, it should arrive soon:)
My questions

1. Does it sit well in your pocket, without it falling out, when your out running or lieing down doing bench presses etc.

I would really, really advise against using the Touch at the gym, unless you were planning to browse the web while on the cycle machine or something. You'll end up trodding on it or flinging it across the gym and cry as it breaks spectacularly.

For the gym: definitely Shuffle or Nano.

I hope it aint that bad for taking to the gym, im not clumsy or anything:p
Would it be worth getting one of thoes arm band things?

I got a nano for the gym. Then added playlists for various workouts.

Metal - Weights
Drum and bass/Dance - Cardio

A good start would be Letfield - Phat planet (Guiness music) - usually gets me in the mood
