iPod Freezing Problem...

Had an iPod 80GB Classic since Christmas and it's recently developed an odd problem...

If I pause it and leave it for a while, when I press any buttons I can't get it to respond - the screen stays off. To get it to work again, I have to hold, unhold, and then reset it with Menu and Centre. After it's reset, it works fine again.

Sometimes it'll reset itself when I press any button in the same situation

Any ideas?
 
Strange symptoms, you on the latest firmware? I know the early firmware versions had freezing problems.

If not might be worth getting in contact with Apple
