Hi guys the gf is having some trouble with her ipod and just wondered if you could suggest anything (I have suggested she gets in contact with apple tech support)

I’ve been having some problems with my Click wheel ipod (approximately two years old, monochrome screen, 20gig)

I’ve restored it and plugged it into the USB port thing and it started to sync it but after it gets to just over 2 gig a message pops up that says:

“Attempting to copy to the disk “IPOD” failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.”

I clicked ‘ok’ and tried to sync it again. It filled up another gig or so then refused to do any more. I’ve restored it again but it doesn’t seem to be helping at all. Any suggestions?

Also sounds like the hard disk could have died. Not a lot you can do other than replacing the hard drive, but then is it really worth spending the money on a new HDD for an old model?
