Hey

Right, So I have a Vauxhall Corsa 03 Reg with the standard 'CAR 2003' cassette tape/radio player.

I want to use the iPod in the car rather than buying a new stereo but my only options at present seem to be via 'cassette to line-in adapter' or an 'FM transmitter', both of which are pretty poor.

So I was wondering, is it possible to add an AUX input to the car's stereo so I can connect the iPod via line-in, and if so, how difficult would it be to fit?

I don't have much knowledge about car stereos but I'm thinking it should be possible to have an external switch with two AUX outputs (one going to the cassette player and one to the ipod so I can simply switch between the two).

Any help is greatly appreciated as I haven't had much look thus far.

Cheers

You bought an 03 plate car without at least a cd player?

Depends if the tape player has any form of input on the back of it, which I doubt very much. Does it not have a cd changer, or the ablitiy to use a cd changer?

If it has the port for a CD Changer, you should be able to get a product from a company called Connects2, which will do what you want.

Sorry, it's a '01 (51), sisters car which I'm using temporarily.

No CD Changer.
Is it not possible to get an AUX-in which goes to the port which the aerial connects to on the stereo? (I'm assuming the lead with the round connector is the aerial).

Thanks Begbie
