iPod & iTunes display differently

Hi everyone,

I have just been given an iPod Classic 160gb Black for Christmas and I love it. But one thing that is bugging me is that on iTunes my music displays by Album Artist, and on the iPod it displays by Artist.

So iTunes is grouping all the different artists on a compilation album into a single album for me to select.

But the iPod has all the artists listed individually.

Can anyone help? I want my iPod to display like iTunes

You should be able to sort by "Album" should you not? I think that's how they're organised on my 4s and iPod.

But I don't want to sort by album, or artist. I want to sort by 'album artist'

You can definitely do this on iOS 5 on the iPod Touch. There's an option in the settings called 'group by album artist'. Not sure if it exists on classic iPods, though.
