iPod middle (select) button now working

I have a 2nd generation iPod Nano (the one with rounded corners). I was just listening to it today when suddenly my middle button stopped working! I bought it September last year from the Apple web site so I think it's out of warranty (going through here seems to conclude that). So what should I do next? Is there anywhere I can get it repaired?

Today's been such a bad day :/ Ive had to call MS to repair my 360, my kettle broke and now this!

Have you tried booting it up in any diagnostic mode?

Hold down Menu and FFWRD until it turns on, from here you can test the hardware it all working.

Alternatively, try giving it a good clean with some compressed air and gently running your fingers over the clickwheel.

Can't get into diagnostic mode since you have to reset the ipod first

Ahhhh damn, sorry.. head in the shed tonight.

If your outside your 1 year warranty then you're out of luck because Apple don't repair iPods, they just replace them.

Nevermind. The iPod magically fixed itself this morning :S
