My ipod mini keeps losing its charge after about 10 mins of music playback, but then recharges itself when i reset it, and loses its charge again. So i have come to the conclusion that the battery is dead....
I had a look on the Apple website and it costs £75  to get it sorted out by Apple, but i see on ebay there are replacement batteries which come with tools to install yourself. These cost just £10!
So is a replacement battery worth buying and installing? They even offer more capacity than the standard battery, but i was just wondering if there are any issues with non-official batteries?

Buy the eBay battery and change it yourself. What's the most you'll lose - £10. You gain a 4GB microdrive if it doesn't work as well.

I bought a new battery and it works great, but unfortunately the ribbon connecting the click wheel to the motherboard was damaged slightly :( now the click wheel doesn't work!

New click wheels cost £30, so its going on ebay now :o
