Not sure about this, but in a way, originally the item was paid for. It is now a refurbished unit, and as long as its sold as that, you shouldn't really be getting more than what was originally paid for the first gen?

I could be completely off the mark with this. I intend on keeping mine when it arrives anyway :)

UPS site still saying that a label has been created. Checked the Serial of the new unit and G6 model with 8Gb of memory :)

Not sure why it took until the 20th to get registered as it was sent in before the end of November but i am glad a new one is on its way.

Delivered on tuesday 17th Jan.

just got my delievery date of the 17th of jan quite happy as it was only sent out on the 16th which seems quicker than some of you guys.

only thing being apple havent sent a dispatch email so cant check the new email to see what version i'm getting, cant seeing it being anything else than an 8gb though.

sent mine ages ago. I'd even forgot about it until the parcel turned up today. They've given me one of the new touch screen nano's which is tiny. 8gb too when my original was only 2gb lol. Not bad to say it was just sat in a drawer do nothing!
 
i'm seriously considering keeping it and using it as a watch lol seem tons of third party watch straps for it some look really high quality i.e. £80 plus the LunaTik looks awesome, kinda matches apple's design ethos.
