Ipod Nano - Cant shuffle playlist or album/artist?

Hi, I just got a Ipod nano and I'm staggered to see you can only shuffle your whole library of songs/albums and it doesnt allow you to shuffle a playlist/album/artist.
I got the Ipod software updated and my Ipod is fully upto date - Is there any software out there that will allow me to do what I want or are Apple going to supporting this in their software soon?
It's a fairly simple but great feature I have on my Creative Zen Nano Plus, dunno why they cant have it on a Ipod Nano.

Turn shuffle songs on in the settings menu.

Do you want to shuffle playlists, or songs on a particular playlist? If the latter, turn on shuffle songs, and go through to the playlist (Music > Playlists > Whatever) and press play.

If you want to shuffle between albums of a particular artist, select shuffle albums and then press play on one of the albums after going through the Music > Artists > Whatever.
