Hey all, just having a few issues with my iPod right now, and i'm not sure if its a common fault or not, its a 1st generation iPod Nano 2GB, and i've had it maybe just over 2 years I'd think! The problem is that the jog wheel on the front has become VERY unresponsive, and sometimes chooses its own actions!
The iPod has been really well looked after, never dropped, and when in a car, in a protected silicon wrap to stop any vibration damage.
What happened a few months ago, was while playing the screen would coe on full light (as it does when you touch the wheel) and the sound adjusted, maybe a fraction, but now its a lot worse, the left side of the wheel seems to be totally unresponsive to 90% of my actions, and it changed volume randomly from full to off and back to full again, all menu access has been very hard due to most of my touch all over not being recognised. but the left side is a lot worse.
Is this a common fault? Is there any easy solution (bar a new iPod)? As its all been fine up till now, and I am assuming it'll be fully out of warranty by now, as far as I can tell, nothing is stuck under the wheel or around it, its been in this case for the past 18 months.
Any ideas or solutions anyone has would be welcomed!
Thankyou!
