ipod nano (new widescreen one) problem

ok ive got one of the new 4gb nanos

im suitably impressed, but im having problems with the coverflow view. i have a shed load of dance compilation albums, and the ipod coverflow view seems to be having problems grouping them

if you view by any other view, it comes up fine. But if you view by cover view, it seems to get its knickers in a knot. It seems to list each album mutiple times, one for each of the different artists

even though they share the same album artist.

any way of sorting this. I get round this quite easy in itunes by selecting cover flow view and then grouping by album or album artist

but ive got no options for cover view that i can find to do this.

Open up itunes
import the folder of the album.
open the 'get info' window for one of the files.
In the Id3 tag section (i forget what its called sorry) click 'part of a compilation'
EDIT: do this for each file.

Your ipod is getting confused because of all the different artists in the one album. You'll also have to make sure that the 'album name' field is filled.

thanks for that !

ive got loads of compilation albums by different artists, if you view them by album name, they view fine. its just coverflow that gets confused and doesnt group by album artist.

i was looking for a way to tie all the tracks together besides album name, this should do the trick !
