I have a 4gb Ipod nano and have only recently started to play with it.
Firstly if i go to my albums there is only about 7 albums there when i have put loads on there, yet the tracks are listed under the artis heading or the songs heading?

For example i have The Pet Shops boys album on there and the songs are listed under "songs" but there album is no where to be mentioned under the albums headings? There songs are also listed under the "artist" heading.

Its starting to annoy me as i want to work out to get the best out of my ipod and enjoy it for what it is.

Is there something im doing wrong or is it do with track naming and id3 tags, i have googled and read loads on this but cant seem to find a definate solution.

Im also a fully paid up member of media monkey gold as i prefer this and find it much easier than apples software.

Thx in advance

PS i think this is the right forums,? im not sure

id imagine it IS the id3 tags. you have to make sure every song from an able has the same artist and album tags otherwise the player will scre up the listing order.

That's why i only buy players that can browse by file+folder and not by id3 tags.

Sorry mate that doesnt seem to make sense to me? "song from an able"??

I got my iPod a few months back (march) and had never used ID3 tags before, but I managed to figure it out. In your iTunes library, right click on the song you want to edit and click get info. Now click the Info tab and type the stuff in there and it should work perfectly!

And don't forget that if you want to do an album then choose all the tracks and right click. Don't do them one at a time.
