My Ipod Nano (8gb) has worked find since I got it in June.

However, recently my computer stopped recognising it. I haven't changed anything obvious but my PC won't recognise it in My Computer or in Device manager. Thus, iTunes can't find it and I cant put new music onto it.

I've tried Apple's website, which was pretty poor, and nothing seems to work?

I own a 4 GB Ipod Nano and the same thing happened with me.

When you say that nothing sems to work, have you tried this?

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

p.s. I discovered this article the other day which is supposed to reveal advanced diagnostics but I haven't tried it out to see if it actually works!
