ipod pricing question

I'm aware that there is a likelihood of a new ipod touch being announced next month.

When Apple introduce new, improved ipods, how do they tend to price them? Does the pricing structure tend to stay similar to the previous generation (e.g. 8/16/32GB for £165/£214/£283). Is there a probability that prices will shift up or down for the low/medium/high spec next generation?

Clearly the spec improves across the board with each revision - do Apple take advantage of this and raise prices?

That would be excellent if prices did dip slightly. Has Apple's pricing changed much over the last year or so since the £/$ exchange rate nose-dived?

Fair enough. Moore's Law doesn't quite apply then? I don't think I'd need more than 32GB, but I'd certainly need more than 16GB...
