Ipod repair price?

My sister has been using her ipod touch with a broken screen for the last few months and I have kindly offered to get the screen replaced for her Christmas.

I just phoned the apple store in Aberdeen and they said they cant repair/replace the screen (even though I have seen videos on youtube of people doing it and spare screens on the bay!!)

So does anyone know how much I should be paying to get it done and any recommendations on where?

Go to the place near the bottom of king st. Creative solutions I think its called? blue sign up front anyway, near enough across the road from archie simpsons.

Got my other half's iphone screen replaced in there about 4 months ago...cost £30 with a 2 day turn around. Afaik apple wanted £130 to fix her friends out of warranty iphone screen just to put that into perspective for you :)
 
I used one of the sites that come up from a Google search and they replaced a Ipod Touch 2G screen for £40 including postage back to us. Sent it one day and it was back two days later. Works fine.
 
I have emailed the guys on King Street to get a price from them :D If they are too expensive I will try one of the repair sites on Google.

Cool, if not you could always try the guy in the indoor market on market street, he was going to be my next port of call if the guy on king street couldn't do it.
