Hi guys,

Just placed an order for a new and my first macbook, the uni-body aluminium 13.3 inch screen one. And i cant wait. :D

But i would like to be able to move over all my music/apps etc from iTunes on my PC or from my iPod Touch (synced with the PC currently).

Now, does anyone know the best way to go about doing this as this is my first Mac im not exactly sure how OS X operates. :(

Also would i need to reformat my iPod Touch or do something radical like that?

Any help is much appreciated and so is any tips for a newbie. ;)

Cheers

Well thanks for the replies. :)

I suppose ill give the official apple way a go first, seeing as ive only got about 2gig or so of music and then some apps/a few hours of movies.

Cheers. :D

Sounds like a really good idea, ill definatly be giving that a go first at it seems the easy tha way.

Cheers.

I really cant wait until i get my Macbook. :D

Well i ended up doing it the Apple way as i couldnt seem to enable my ipod touch for disk use though i do remember how because ive done it on my nano and shuffle before. Anyway all went fine and i wasnt bothered about the ratings etc as i dont tend to give any. ;)

Oh and this new macbook is fantastic. :D

Plugged my iPod Touch into mac today, even though the iPod is still linked to the PC, I was able to view what music/movies/apps etc i had on it and charge the ipod (which is the main thing i need to do when i am on holiday.

However the separate tabs when you click on the iPod in iTunes were available but the options like sync music or photos was greyed out and unavailable. My iPod is also set to manually manage music/video which is probably why i wasnt asked or forced to reformat it. ;)
