Ipod Touch 8Gb 4th Generation

Absolute tube when it comes to Apples and IPods but the Mrs is going to get me the 8gb 4th generation version for Xmas.

Now my only real question is how much of that 8Gb is free for Apps/Games? I assume the gumpf that comes with it hogs up a load of space and if so, is any of that deletable or am I lumbered with it?

I'm running a 2nd gen myself and after a factory reset I'm left with around 7gb free. I have no idea about the 4th gen however...

Most apps/games are very small in size ie 5-10mb, however there are games that are almost 1gb in size ie latest football games, but most are very small therefore you can store tons of apps. Ideally you would want to have 16gb but there isn't such an option, I went personally for 32gb as I wanted more than 8gb.

Just got my first ipod touch and plugged it in and there's 6.46 of space
