Hi Folks,

AFAIK i don't think this has been covered. What i'm needing to know is....

At the minute I have an ipod adapter for my car stereo that is a standard headphone jack on side, and the other goes in to the aux port of my Head Unit. What I need to know is if anyone here has tested plugging such a adapter to a Touch to see if it works as the old style/classics do.

If so can someone let me know as I recently sold my old ipod to my brother as he needed one and from borrowing it scratched the screen to bits and feel the way the touch works would be better suiter and easier to use than a click wheel!

Many thanks! :)

My girlfriend has a FM transmitter for her Nano.

Just plug it in the dock connector, tune it to an unused FM frequency and BHAM! it's done :)

Might want to check them out.

If your adaptor uses a standard headphone jack it will work.

Indeed, any 3.5mm -> Jack cable will work.

I mis-read the OP (and suggested a good way to do it).

One thing to be warned of (if using the iTouch through the head unit) is that the headphones will only be Line Level.. you'll have to crank the volume to get a decent volume.

..upping the volume on the iPod can help to an extent.

Cool!

Cheers for all the help guys, I had a feeling that would be the answer I just needed some sort of confirmation/reassurance that I was right before I started to get the money for it as its not cheap.

I'm used to playing around with Ipod & Headunit level to get a good balance from my previous Ipod but ty for the advice. :)

Now just gotta wait for leopard to be released so I can get my mini :D
