Ipod Touch and Iphone 1.1 Officially hacked

Keeps the hackers busy but I think the constant game of tit for tat with Apple is going to get really old really fast for some users (e.g. ME). I just want something that works and stays working.

Still, whatever keeps you happy. :)

touch will stay working, 1.1 seems relatively bug free.

I wouldn't rejoice too quickly.. these hacks are dependant on an exploit in Mobile Safari handling of TIFF images so as soon as Apple patches that (as they're sure to do in 1.1.2) they'll be back to square one.

so dont update, apple wont be able to match the maps, notes, stocks, weather, chat, nes, e-book reader etc that will be ported straight from iphone apps to touch for many months, if ever to come.If your an iphone owner and have access to most of these apps and can brick your iphone much easier than the touch, then the decision isnt so easy.

Ridiculous, yes, but if people are willing to pay for it, which they clearly are, then Apple are on to a winner, surely?

I agree, it is overpriced and lacking in terms of technology, but the fact is, Apple know it will sell because it's apple, and it's sexy.

How is it overpriced when there is nothing on the market anywhere nears its level?Sure it lacks 3g, but these are minor parts compared to its size, screen, multi touch, advanced OS for its size, amazingly smooth UI, 8gb storage built in for a phone, google maps, youtube, etc etc, you cant simply point out the negatives and criticise the price without pointing out the overwhelming amount it has over is nearest rivals.
