iPod Touch Cases?

Considered a combo of a foofpod and Invisible shield?

That's what I've got and I have to say, after the nightmare of applying the shield all has turned out pretty well.

Pic of shield on touch please. :p

If I had anything like a half decent camera that would make the photo worth looking at, I would no problem. But unfortunately I don't.

The invisible shield is excellent. I haven't applied mine 100% correctly (had a bit of trouble with air bubbles and stupidly was too aggressive with trying to ease them out, which only stretched the plastic covering and the bubbles went nowhere).

So I had to take it off after about thirty minutes and re-apply. My second application was a lot better but the stretches I made first time round were slightly visible with videos on the iPod, where there was a lot of white.

The actual process of putting the shield on was horrible. You spray a bit of plastic on both sides with 'special stuff' they give you in the pack and then put it on your iPod.

The idea is to then 'slide' the plastic covering into position on the iPod but no actual sliding is possible without a mess or sliding it way off course.

Then the nightmare of leaving your Touch for 24 hours without touching it. I couldn't resist and turned mine on about 3 hours after but I'm pretty happy with setting it down and putting it in my jeans pocket without worrying about how scuffed it's going to look. The addition of the Foofpod is just further piece of mind.

And yeah.....that's that.

:) I'll pass on the invisi shield then.

Just need to work out Foof delivery charges, I'm an inpatient douche, so, I want it here asap, but, then the order comes to $65 AUD?

Hijack, wahey. :p

Its works out about £14 with insurance, my girlfriend loves hers for her nano, I'm ordering one for my macbook tonigth :)

Not so bad. :p

Either way I need to wait for my new card as I'm not going to wait 2 weeks for an e-cheque to clear. :p

Saw 7 replies and was hoping for something useful! :p

But seriously, thanks for the insight, dont like the invisible shields, had one on a nano a while back and didnt get on.

Preferably looking for something thin and probably leather that will leave the touch screen exposed, will really only need to protect the back.

The foofpod is great. You can't avoid scratching a touch, but the foofpod is keeping it from getting bashed up. It fits snugly and is nicely padded so you avoid and jiggling around from the touch. I had my touch (in the foof), in my backpack when I was on a plane and after all the bumping around and other general abuse, it was fine.

I ordered a Foofpod for my iPhone but didn't choose the express delivery, God knows when it'll arrive.

I suspect the latter half of 2008 :p:D

I also have an Incase Rubber Case for the iPhone.. it's very well made, and works wonders when I'm in work.. it does ruin the beauty of the iPhone though :(

That's good news then, assuming you didn't choose some crazy express delivery?

I hope it's here before Christmas, my iPhone feels naked without some form of protection (If I haven't got the rubber case on), and at the moment I have it wrapped in a BRIGHT yellow duster! :D:cool:

I just picked up my touch at the 5av store the other day and i think i'll just let it get scratched. In my mind it's bought to be used and seen, so why hide it away and make it bigger?! It makes no sense at all to me!

My ipod video looks well used too and i'm sure the touch will be the same in a week or two

Mines not too bad atm, Foofpod is sat under the tree though. :p

In fact, after a few drops (!) it's actually looking hardly scratched at all.:cool:

I don't use any case at all, fair enough the back of the iPod is a bit scratched, i can't be bothered with cases. There's little point in them, the silicon ones just hide the iPod and make it look fugly imo!

No scratches on the front of the iPod though yet :D
