iPod Touch DOES have audio in capability

This has been tinkering with his Touch and found that it does have audio in cabability. Good news Let's see if the community can figure something out, since I certainly don't see Apple releasing an external mic for the Touch anytime soon. THough having said that, why is it there in the first place...?

As the Touch was basically made up from canibalised iPhone parts its probably safe to assume they are using the same audio bits from the phone.

Would be quite a nice little addon though, a dock-mic for VoIP use or something

THere's a picture of a sleeve someone thought up just under it, looks sexeh. BUt even with this possibility, I can't see Apple exploiting it at all, it would come into direct conflict with the iPhone then. So close
