ipod touch headphone compatibility

hi

am i right in thinking there are issues with some headphones and the ipod touch? i need to know if a pair of goldring gx200 headphones will work with a touch. are these problems only when the headphone connector is at a right angle?

i'd massively appreciate any help.

The problem you are referring to applied to the old iPhone V1, where the 3.5mm socket was recessed which stopped you from using certain headphones that were too "wide".

This isn't a problem with the new iPhone / iPod Touch

Not sure, 99% positive that the headphone socket was only recessed on the iPhone V1.

Googling backs it up.. but you may want to wait for someone with a V1 iTouch to confirm

It was a normal headphone jack on my V1 iPod touch, nothing to worry about.
