Hi im using wpa-psk

In my ipod i select wpa and type in the passkey

It wont connect

It connnects with no encryption. Any ideas?

comes up with this on the router

Dec.25.2008 17:15:57 security:****.*** Blocked Prot=6, ***.***.**.**:12200 > **.**.***.***:1080, S Seq=*******, Ack=0 -Disallowed Destination IP

the *'s are actual numbers but i hid them for security

Sounds strange my gf typed in the passkey and it connected (took a while though) - has the touch been updated with the latest apple firmware?

Is your router operating some kind of whitelist or limit on number of clients?

Can you tweak the Wi-Fi further? I can confirm that WPA2-PSK (using AES) works.

I had a very similar problem. Recently changed to using WPA and it works absolutely fine. As I recall, I did have to put in the password 3 or 4 times to get it to work though.

Try telling it to forget the network. Then going into network settings and type in a static ip, router ip, dns etc. Then try the password and see if that makes a difference.

i got exact same issue, numerous laptops connect to my router fine, my N95 does but Ipod touch with WPA-PSK doesnt work, remove encryption and fine. Ipod and router on latest firmware as well. Just running unsecured at the moment just to play with it but will get it sussed in time, if i find a solution i'll post up :)

Double post but i just set my Wifi AP to use WPA2-PSK and works fine so just gonna use AES encryption rather than TKIP, more secure anyway...

I had same problem using wpa-psk and iPod touch.

Pass key on router was originally something really long like "gbkfgd75e327hf8r9y4398fg*f4dsfsdagbyce78632ghfeiu33", however when I changed it to something a lot simpler e.g. "password2009" I could then connect with the iPod.
