So I've been messing around with Fring and Nimbuzz and currently looking for a good VOip provider (currently using a gizmo trial or somthing like that ) and I've got to say, sound quality is good, if not exceptional, it serves it's purpose. AFAIK the UK has no free VOIP service (PLEASE!!! correct me if im wrong!!) fring has a uber nice GUI but is unstable at the 'mo , Nimbuzz is ok too, but only works with current contacts, shame really, skype works a treat too... I'm a tad annoyed at the lack of advertising of these things, because popularity=faster development...
I 'd quite like to see a bit of feedback on anyones experiences or advice that will help fellow members of the forums to utilise this feature, IMO a great addition to an already strong product if the services are tweaked enough and Wi-Fi connectivity improves, especially in cities, most already have an ever expanding network available to good old Joseph Bloggs .
Anyone else using either of these apps, I'm really gonna go for the first week of April as phoneless as possible... I'm intersted to see how it goes, mainly because it will indicate how easy it is to find Wi-Fi connections these days.
