ipod touch screen won't work

hi there, last night i went to bed and my ipod touch was working fine, left it on my desk over night. but when i woke up this morning the touch screen had stopped working altogether, i've restored it 3 times now and still no luck.

anyone any ideas what could cause this and if there is an easy fix? i'll prob take it to the apple store tomorrow and ask them.

try reinstalling the graphics drivers

Other than doing what you have already done (restore) you could try holding the home and reset buttons for ~10seconds and do a full reset and see if that helps. Past that you are best off going to the apple store and seeing if they can help (they would most likely swap it out if they can't get it working immediately) - does it have any applecare remaining? Make sure you update your ipod backup on itunes.

My home button stopped working a few months ago. I ended up butchering the screen half off with a small precision scewdriver and cleaning all the dust etc from around the area. Clipped it back in and hey presto!

You could try the same sort of thing. However, if the entire screen has gone. This may be irrelevant, worth a shot however.

it doesnt matter, go and try it - they might be able to do it, just give it a go

even if they wont fix it free, they can tell you what is wrong with it and get it fixed cheaper elsewhere
