Now this is more general I think given the scenario, however feel free to move to whatever section IPODs live under if that is the case.
Basically ive inherited from my late grandad and Ipod Touch. He was bought this to listen to in hospital, as basically he was there until death given his condition and music gave him something to enjoy.
Anyway this is where the problems begin, first there is some sort of passcode on there, which no one knows... why they dont, idk, but ive asked all family members who may have known and there is no-go. Infact guessing has prematurely locked it!
Second, I believe I could do some sort of restore with the original iTunes registration... this sounds fine, but I then get told that the Ipod was setup using my cousins details, who is now travelling with said laptop.
So how do I unlock it and get it working, i dont mind wiping the files on there if that is the last resort?
I do have iTunes, linked to my wifes iPad, so could I just plug this iPod in and let iTunes restore it, or will Apple think.. hang on, this is registered to someone else and idk block it for good?
Im at a loss and yes I know 'its actually nicked and im a chav trying to make a quick buck'
