ipod touch vs iphone performance

not really got a specific question here but how much better is an iphone for games/browsing than a touch ?

i can't even name any apps I would use but would like to use some of the music stuff, synths etc

games, again I have none in mind but would be pretty pieved if I got a touch and it couldn't play stuff an iphone could....

Performance is very similar to iPhones of the same generation. The latest (4th-gen) iPod touch has the exact same CPU and GPU as the iPhone 4. The iPhone does have twice as much RAM (512MB vs 256MB), but that's more likely to affect you when multitasking than when running a specific app.

Did they update the innards for iPhone 4S or is that still comparable to an iPod touch (4th gen) aside from double the memory?
