ipod touch windows explorer

Is there a simple way to access the mp3s and all that through windows explorer, just like on a flash drive or any other mp3 player? The ipod shows up, but only allows access to pictures as "internal storage".

I just ant to be able to copy music over in windows explorer instead of using this itunes bloatware.

Not to my knowledge mate...the whole point is to sync everything through iTunes. Just use it, it's hardly THAT bad

Jailbreak. But itunes works best - what exactly is the problem anyway. All you do is plug in and sync

No need to jailbreak.

You can use something like DiskAid to get access to the media but it will be in special folders and the file names won't make any sense.

Use something like http://www.copytrans.net/ - it's free and lightweight.

My wife has one too and whenever she charges it off my computer it syncs all her crap on to mine. I'd rather be able to look at it in explorer and make a shortcut so i can right click files and do a "send to" --> ipod.

I'll look at copytrans.

You could just change the settings in iTunes so it doesn't auto sync.
