iPod troubles

Hi dunno where to post this but wanted to ask if anyone knows how to solve this problem, Everytime I press menu to turn on my 30GB video ipod the apple sign flashes then goes off and has like a black line along the bottem of the screen. It was working fine this morning and when I left work this evening got to the tube tried turning it on this **** happens so anyone know anything bout this problem?





Edit: Muh ignore this thing was calling me a liar just got it to work lol

mine does that when the battery is flat.
and it loses its charge even when its turned off
