iPod Video - can't get mp4s working

Hi,
I was on Google video and noticed it lets you download mp4s to put straight on iPod Videos. However whenever i drag it across in iTunes, it doesn't do anything (no dialog, nothing is added). Does it actually work with mp4s?

I'm running vista...

Might be a stupid question, but have you added videos to your iPod before?

Can be a complicated one, if not - try adding a new playlist, call it movies or whatever and drag your mp4's into that - then drag that folder onto your iPod (within iTunes, of course) - or sync if you do that instead.

Probably useless advice, but let me know if it works out.

I've added videos via the automatic pod casts, before. Doing what you said still doesn't seem to work.

Is there anywhere I can download a small video that is guaranteed to work with iTunes/iPod, to see if i can get that working?
