Hi all, I have a 30gb ipod video, Is there any other way off copying songs/films onto the ipod without using itunes?
thanks Phil
thanks Phil
Are you using windows or mac osx?
In windows - you can enable disk usage in itunes and then in 'View' file types etc, hidden files and when you open the ipod in explorer you can view a folder - cant exactly remember the name(!) but in there you can move files from the ipod. Note that all the files will have 4 letter filenames - so in order to make sure you copy the right file, check the filesize.
When you import this into a video application, I'm pretty sure all the tag data etc is restored. Its just how the ipod stores the data.
Thats how I had to move my itunes library when my external hard disk blew up and then reconsolidate it on a new disk...
Another option is ipod liberator... though I dont even know if thats around anymore?
Somebody probably has a better idea though!
//EDIT - Just actually read your post properly.. must have been sleep in my eyes! I don't think its possible - but why wouldnt you want to use itunes??//
