iPod Video Users…

Hey guys,

I’ve had my iPod video a couple of days now and I’m liking it a lot

I’ve been converting a few videos for it and it’s been fine? Tonight I tried putting my latest ones on (Converted in ImToo (iPod .mpg4)) and I get the following error?

Is that bad, or am I doing something wrong? They worked okay before

The only thing that that’s changed is iTunes (Latest version) and the iPod updater – I’ve gone from 1.0 to 1.1? Could that be the problem…

Thanks for the reply mate - I'm back on the 1.0 firmware because I thought that was what had caused the problem, but I'm still no better off

I can't seem to put any videos on atm? Even after a restore

The videos I'm trying to get on are exactly the same ones that were on before but I still get that message? The only other thing that has changed is iTunes - the latest version? Should I try going back to the older version - would that affect the transfer to the iPod?

Erm, now my iPod won't respond... The screen say's 'do not disconnect' without the red logo - even though there is no activity? Is there are way to manually shut an iPod down

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the supplied iPod/iTunes CD (Which worked before...) and nothing changed; I tried various video's, ones that I knew had work yesterday, but no joy? I don't understand how the same file can work one minute and not the next?

Maybe I've got a bad unit - if so whats the RMA procedure? Is it back to Apple or back to the supplier? Or am I being too hasty?

I meant to reply a bit sooner? I think I've cracked it

I'm using all the original CD software and the 1.0 firmware, and touch wood, things are back to normal!

I think it was probably the firmware update? It might have been a bad update or something?

Things are fine now, I'm really enjoying my iPod now
