ipod + windows media player

Hey,

Is there anyway to connect my ipod to windows media player? I have noticed some sofware called dopisp but would rather not pay for software.

Any freeware utilities out there?

I can't stand iTunes and it duplicates my music. Its a big no no for me.

I'm trying media monkey out. I'll let you know how that goes.

I last tried itunes around 7-8 months ago and have no desire to try it again, I'm more than happy with WMP. WMP for ME is a superior product, please get over it.

Please do find me posting "old cliches" other than in this thread.

Irrespective of this I still do not like iTunes. Why duplicate music by default? Not a great design imo.

I don't understand apples need to lock these devices to a set piece of software. Imagine if Microsoft tried to do that.

I suppose I can see why iTunes does this and for its target audience it works well. I however much prefer WMP (in particular the layout) and don't want to have to install a fairly heavy app like itunes to sync an ipod once every 4 months.

For the benefit of anybody else not wanting to use iTunes, sharepod works brilliantly. Very simple and easy to use. Thanks.
