Is there anyone who can explain the difference between IPS and TN screens at 120hz ? (Simplified please)
.ALL 120 hz screens are TN and likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future unless someone spends a lot of money and time getting the inherently "slower" ips tech upto TN levels of response. This is unlikely to happen cos in the next few years hopefully OLED screen will become more prevalent.Though it`s probably around 3 years at very best before we are likely to see remotely affordable OLED screens.Short answer OLED is MILES better ...long answer.....ill just wait for PCM2 to come along and tell youSo what is the difference between TN and OLED?
....he knows his onions that lad.IPS is superior to TN and OLED is going to be superior to both IPS and TN if I am correct. So what is the difference between TN and OLED?
Short answer OLED is MILES better ...long answer.....ill just wait for PCM2 to come along and tell you....he knows his onions that lad.

So it may be worth sticking to a decent IPS 60Hz LCD panel which will give a better picture than a 120 Hz TN LED panel. I will be sitting head on to it so viewing angle is not really much of an issue).
yes...there`s no such thing as a 120hz ips screen is probably the biggest difference.ALL 120 hz screens are TN and likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future unless someone spends a lot of money and time getting the inherently "slower" ips tech upto TN levels of response. This is unlikely to happen cos in the next few years hopefully OLED screen will become more prevalent.Though it`s probably around 3 years at very best before we are likely to see remotely affordable OLED screens.
