IPS - D-Sub or HDMI ?

Hi

I just purchased an LG IPS237L-BN 23" IPS Monitor and the picture seems ok but no way near as vibrant as I thought it might be. My old monitor was an 22" AOC F22+ which had a TN panel and I think these two monitors are very comparable in picture quality. Could it be that you don't get the best out of these IPS monitors when you are using the D-Sub connection ?.

i very much doubt you'll see any difference between connections. but as HDMI cables can be had for a quid, it won't cost much to find out.

edit: my monitor is only a TN panel and i use HDMI. i quickly connected up the VGA connection and it looks the same to me.

On my old cheapo TN panel (23" £100 job) I found a big difference in vibrancy between HDMI and DVI. Well worth a go for the price

I guess I better buy an adapter as my GFX only has dvi outs.
