Hi,

Been a while since i made a thread in here. I've got roughly £150 - £170 for a decent monitor. It will mostly be used to general use, with a bit of gaming (hence me choosing ips).

What would you recommend, I've seen a couple but I really don't know what people tend to go with and what the differences are.

Thanks in adv.

if you can push your budget slightly then the Dell P2414H would be well worth a look as a modern IPS screen, about as good as you can get for IPS response times at the moment with no overshoot. also very low lag. would be about £210 though

if you can't push the budget then the smaller models from the new P range might be an idea too as i expect overall performance to be similar or comparable at least. there's a 21.5" model and 23" model too. basically Dell screens will offer you a decent IPS panel and overall spec for the money you have

there's also the older 23" Dell U2312HM is worth a look (£161) still.

How come you don't stock the P2414H Baddass? I see you stock the P2412H, but naturally one wishes to source the IPS screen, that being the former but not the latter.

Currently using a 2007FPB (also IPS), which has a 16ms response time(according to the spec sheet anyway) and i still game(FPS included) just fine on it, so looking for a step up from this old but lovely screen, the P2414H looks perfect, so it's a real shame you don't stock them.... :(

Yeah it would be great to see what OcUK could do price wise on the P2414H, as it looks to be a very good all-rounder. I am looking at upgrading my older Dell model to something that gives me more room for work.

Hi
I'm in a similar position to yourself as wanted a decent monitor for photo editing and also enjoy playing fps games.
After doing a lot of research online the best I've come up with at your price rage is this the Dell u2312hm at £161.99 though currently out of stock :(
