IR help

Would like to give IR a go but i dont have a filter yet but i was just wondering if there was anyway of using Photo shop to make the photos look like IR shots? Any websites around that give tips for this sort of shooting?

i have a IR filter thingy, but i dont know how to use it, i believe it came on a CD from a photography Mag

Its not really possible in Photoshop. There are close copies but its never truly as good as a real filter.

which lens would you use a 18-55 or 50 F1.8? and is it ok to do IR on a 300D. cheers guys

50 f/1.8 on a 300D will be ok.

you can get a IR filter off ebay for about £20, i have one myself, hardly ever used it yet though
