Hi, just moved into our new living room after a period of renovation, and in the process purchased a new TV last night - Samsung UE46F6740 which I'm pleased with.

However, I've built alcove cabinets either side of the chimney breast, one side holds all of my AV gear, with the TV sitting on top. Of course one drawback is that with the cabinet doors closed, my harmony remote can't reach my devices:

Apple TV
Onkyo amp
Sky + HD
Panasonic BR player

What I think I need is some form of IR receiver sender that will receive the IR and bounce the beam around inside the cabinet. Any suggestions what to go for? Needs to be reliable for obvious reasons.

The other thing I need to address is that although all of my equipment connect to the amp via HDMI, and then a single HDMI out into the TV, it means that when I want to access any SMART TV functionality, I still get the audio from the HDMI feed, rather than the TV itself. I assume I need some kind of digital out from the TV, or perhaps make some setting changes? Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers.
