I did a quick search but couldn't see a thread for this. I've just bought it and I'm looking forward to playing it, I really enjoyed the demo, even though it was very limited.

I was pretty disappointed when the game launched though to see there was no public online multiplayer, along with it being rather pricey considering they seemed to have the fundamentals already from Karting Superstars/Circuit Superstars.

There is https://arcaderanked.com/ which looks pretty cool and would fill the void of public online multiplayer, until (hopefully) the devs implement something. This thread could also be used to organise some private OcUK races, if there was enough interest.

I remember enjoying the demo for this and was quite gutted when they delayed it. My backlog is kinda stacked at the moment but I'm still looking forward to getting on it.

Is this the one that uses the circuit superstars engine with some added cameras?

That is a brilliant little game I am about 70% through and would be hopefully a decent base for this

I see the reviews on Staem are mostly positive now, on release they were mostly negative and put me off getting it.

Not suer if I should pick it up now or wait for price to drop a little.

Yeah, it's (mainly I believe) the same developer as Karting Superstars/Circuit Superstars. Only really tried the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup so far and it's really nice to drive. The art style of the game is also really nice.

I believe that was mainly due to no public online multiplayer, as I guess others, as had I, assumed there would be. I haven't started career yet, nor had a private online race with a friend who also has it/online race via arcaderanked.com but I have been having fun with the time attack mode. It is quite expensive but if it were £15 in its current state, I would've got it straight away, so after thinking it was only £6 that was holding me back, I decided to get it. It is fun!

I took part in an online race yesterday through arcaderanked.com - It was pretty seamless, not as straightforward as clicking a button in-game and being put in a public lobby, but it was easy enough and at least allows public multiplayer whilst there's no in-game option.

Just had a few tries of the demo, as someone that has almost completely lost my old sim/arcade racing passion in the last few years, it has potential.

There's some sort of online racing tool in operation by modders, rather than the game developers.

Currently on sale in Steam for ~£17, tempting.
