yeah why not actually, is it that hard to do ?, I know nothing about IRC, I browse the channels using a java applet.
In order to create a channel you simply join it, if it doesn't already exist it'll be created and you'll be given 'op' status.
In order to register the channel (make it a permanent thing) you need at least one person authed with Q (quite easy to do) and 4 other unique users in the room. When you have those things you use the quakenet website to request a Q bot and if you can maintain the prerequisites (5 unique users logged in at any one time) for around 15 mins you get a Q.
That channel is rubbish. No-one talks or answers questions or nothing.

tbh I expected a channel with experts on the various fields covered by these forums, which it never has been on my numerous visits. It's partly my fault for having the wrong expectations of what the channel is about.
One specific to Consoles would more suit my current interests.

maybe we should make one? Get 5 of us organised for a Q bot..
I would be interested in setting up a channel, i have just installed mIRC, im in the channel quoted in the link, but dont recognise anyone. Is this the correct Ocuk channel "/j #overclockers-uk"?
