Prwtty sure there is legislation in place to protect you from energy suppliers going pop. I'd go for it and will also be looking in to them, so thanks for the heads up
Just switched myself. Not far enough into the process to feedback on them yet though. Worked out £100 a year cheaper than the next cheapest for me though. No fee to leave so there's a bonus if they are bad....
I was with GB Energy Supply who went bust and I was switched to Co-op energy, haven't lost any of my credits they even kept me on the same tarriff which is cheaper than any deal on the market.
I've just taken the gamble on this company they were significantly cheaper than everyone else even more so when compared to the big companies. There is something slightly dodgy about them taking the first direct debit straight after the 14 day cooling off period even when supply hasn't started but the industry is heavily regulated so I think I'm pretty safe.
I've just switched to Economy Energy, never heard of them before but did a little digging and found they seem to be ok, also as mentioned if they do go pop then you are covered by legislation.
My switch is due to be completed on the 28th of this month, applied on the 28th of Feb. All looking ok so far, but from what I understand if you have a problem where you have to call them expect to be on the phone in a queue for an hour
