Hi Guys,

Is the below spec realistically good enough to play the new Divinity 2 game?

Intel® Core™ i5-6267U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz)
Intel® Iris™ Graphics 550
8gb ram

Steam says Divinity 2 minimum recommended specs are:

  • MINIMUM:
    • OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit or Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 550 or ATI™ Radeon™ HD 6XXX or high

Cheers,

Mike

Honestly I have no idea. But this seems to suggest you can play GTA5 1080p at high on it.

So you should be OK.

Why not contact steam support they might have a better idea.

That's actually the mobile chip... so it might actually be better than that.

while you might be able to run games off the Iris chip, due the fact it shares system memory, in your case maybe 2gb share?, so you are always going to be better off with a dedicated graphics card plus IGP are not always that nice, that iris is better than the hd4400 which i used to have but even with 16gb ram at the time, for titanfall 1 i had to lower the resolution lower than x768 and turn everything on the low preset, while it played like i was on 50+ fps, it looked like a 360 game lol.

you can buy a gtx 550ti from £20, so just look for one and buy it..

edit: just realised your on a laptop doh!, you might be okay, but best to get either an modern APU laptop or one with a dedicated graphics chip, can get some of the oldies with an i7 4 core 8 thread and either a 620-640m or the older 500m series if not something better for less than £200

It will run it as proven above, just maybe not on medium so much, depends on the game, either way you are going to need to upgrade to 16gb ram, to share the memory with the igp for those games you will be pushing that 8gb it would come with

It will probably be fine, turn-based strategy games don't really need high frame rates so you will probably find that it plays fine even if you're only getting 30-40 fps.
