I've a mate coming over tomorrow for a couple of days for a swalleying session in London. I know it sounds a bit sad coming over from Ireland to drink in an Irish bar but the best craic is usually in the Irish bars. It's where you meet all the clients too :D
So are there any decent ones apart from O'Neills and the like? We're hopping on the central line at Northolt and going in from there, so anywhere on that route, preferably in the centre would be great.

Any suggestions?

Why does he want to go to an Irish Bar ??? If i go aboard, i sure want to go to a local pub/bar/Resturant and not McD's or Burger king.

Personally, a Bar is a Bar...After a few they all taste pretty much the same anyway. :p

Third recommendation for Waxy's on Wardour Street.

If you come out of the Wardour street door you can stagger across to China Town.

Many an evening has been lost there.

(Much better than the Gravity Bar at St James Gate!!)

Ummm.....no :p The Guinness in the Gravity isn't the best but the stuff this side of the Irish sea still doesn't even come close. I suppose it depends on which one you're used to though.

After walking round the museum/visitors centre I really expected something fantastic, but it was the worst pint of Guinness I've ever had, bar none. I didn't even finish it.

It didn't even stick to the glass.

It ranks as possibly the most disappointing event of my life and I'm still bitter about it.
