I've always wanted play guitar in a Maiden tribute band. I'd do it properly. Note for note solos (either from the studio album, or a released live album), the lot. Most tribute bands i've seen just throw in some crap they made up 5 years previously in rehearsal (or worse, in the case of 'Tallica). That's not a tribute, thats a cop out.
The only Maiden triubute act that played 'round here has just split up.
Maybe i should put the feelers out.

That's pretty much how I did it - note for note, I just LOVE playing Maiden songs - so much fun to play live and everyone knows em, we always had a great crowd!!
If only you lived in Aberdeen mate I'd get you in on a tribute hehe!!
